Some of you may already know what a Facebook addict I am. Recently I have been finding Facebook invaluable for keeping up with what's happening in online community and Internet marketing, as well as getting updates from a wide network of people doing all kinds of business. I've even started a Work.com group to discuss how to enhance Work.com.
Today on Facebook I received invitations to two online community events, saw a cause publicized (the need for more malaria research displayed through blacked-out profile photos), discovered a link to a blog post about two new Gmail features, and read a Twitter about Forrester Research analyst Jeremiah Owyang visiting a high-tech campus in Hong Kong.
And today I also posted a link (in the Facebook for Business group) to blogging consultant Brian Brown's new guide:
Check it out if you haven't used Facebook yet - Brian gives great step-by-step advice to getting up and running on Facebook.

The thing I'm liking about facebook is that I can see the status of my business associates who are "my friends". If somebody is in NYC for a conference or something, I can use that opportunity to meet up with them face to face and reconnect.

I just joined doppler which will allow me to track which cities various members are in...for the same purpose - to connect or reconnect.

Here's an interesting article about how to build a personal brand using Facebook: http://www.briansolis.com/2008/09/facebook-is-hub-for-your-personal-brand.html

Okay, with all these awesome posts and Brian's excellent guide, you have convinced me to give Facebook a try! I'm going to join and then update the Work.com blog about how my experience is going. Thanks for motivating me.
