I was checking out new Work.com members today and I came across Zoya and Boris Juray's profile. Zoya and Boris are a dressmaker and tailor who own 5 Star Unique Alterations in Brooklyn, NY. Graduates of a European fashion design institute, they specialize in formal wear and tailored suits. In their Work.com profile, there's a photo of several mannequins adorned with fabulous gowns. A chandelier hangs from the ceiling. I want to learn more. I wish I could just enter their shop. Wait a minute...I click on their website link. I can!
I am amazed to find that at their site, I can click on a button that says "3D Tour" to actually take a virtual tour of 5 Star Unique Alterations. I approach their brick building. I walk up their steps. I click on their door...I see a cushy red sofa. I spin around...those elegant gowns of tulle and lace, cascading to the floor. All those spools of thread in a rainbow of colors. Next time I need a formal dress, and I'm in Brooklyn, I'm coming here.
I really hope this creative duo writes a guide about how to start a dressmaking business, or teach us how to create a virtual 3D tour of a shop using QuickTime. Thanks for joining Work.com Zoya and Boris!
